Started by a group of aeromodelling enthusiasts at College of Engineering Trivandrum in 2018, Aerocet has come a long way in the making of RC aircraft. Established with the aim to participate in the annual 'SAE Aero Design Challenge', our team has successfully represented our college not only in SAE competitions but also in several national-level competitions conducted by NITs. Our workshop on 'RC Aircraft Design' conducted in 2019 was well received by the crowd with more than 100 team registrations to it.
During the pandemic, our team collaborated with Government Engineering College, Barton Hills to conduct a free webinar series on 'Basics of Aerodesign'. We also conducted a two-day workshop on 'Ansys fluent' in June 2021, an informal fun event and a paper plane flying competition. In 2022, we collaborated with Drishti to successfully organize an 'RC Aircraft Design Workshop' which gave an opportunity for the 70+ registrants to understand the working of an RC Aircraft and to design it from scratch.
In the future, we wish to conduct more events like webinars, talks and workshops in order to bring awareness about technology to students inside and outside CET.
